I’d say a $1000 guitar and a piano that is good enough for concert performance ($2000 keyboard).

Anybody have any other tips for someone who is new to strings? I am familliar with instruments. I play flute, piano, saxophone and piccolo. I have an Esteban guitar and I’m wondering if you can play any genre with a western guitar? The strings are nylon but is it possible to change to steel too?
Also, Do western guitars have a different type of sound then a regular guitar? Does this mean I can play country or whatever and it wouldn’t be different? Is there a difference?

My friend and I want to play music together… he plays guitar, and I play piano. Do you have any suggestions for songs that have both parts (and vocals) and will sound good with just those parts?
