How do you propose that I go about inquiring about a piano-playing position at a local restaurant?

There’s this nice, fancy restaurant on the water about 10 miles away from where I live. I was hoping to play the piano there as a part-time job. Any suggestions on how I would go about requesting a position/interview?

Currently there are no wanted signs, but this is the kind of place that would have a piano player. Thanks in advance.

I am NOT speaking from experience but if I were you I would wear a suit and go to teh restaurant AFTER it is closed and request to talk to the manager. I would prepare a ‘resume’ with your previous playing experience if you have one. Request to be able to ‘audition’ on the piano to the manager.

Maybe you should send a resume, with a cover letter that says you have extensive training in classical piano (Im assuming fancy restaurant= classical music) and even though they werent advertising, you’re very interested in obtaining a position with them as a piano player. ask them to please contact you to discuss this….then attach an impressive resume.
