My damper pedal on my upright Yamaha piano squeaks every time I press it.

What should I do to fix this? I don’t want to hire anybody.

Could I use WD-40? If so, where do I squirt it?

Do you have to have a professional tuner tell you if it is cracked? I have a piano that has been in storage for two years, exposed to very cold temps through the winters, and want to know if I can detect this crack. The piano does play.

My school doesn’t have a piano teacher, I was kinda hoping I could getting done without costing myself a whole lot of money. I don’t make a lot here at school.

We are getting an antique piano. It has a lovely mahogany finish, but on top there is a medium-sized circle that is many shades lighter than the rest of the wood. It’s disgusting how much this spot sticks out. This is a beautiful piano otherwise and I hate to look at that discolored spot. Is there any way to fix it?

The piano is about 30+ years old, and has been sitting in a garage for about 10 years. It’s in great condition and is tuned near perfectly. I just need to know what I can use to clean it without causing any damage.

My piano bench is really beat up and has some mysterious water damage.

I tried to get it refinished but the furniture shop said that the wood was too damaged to be refinished because of the water damage…blah blah blah.

I was thinking maybe i could paint it…..but what color?

My piano is a very dark mahogany color.

I was thinking black might be a nice contrast…i dont know. help me!
